Assessment procedures
The written application is sent to SP Sitac, by mail, fax or e-mail. Together with the application, you send a description of the intended use for the product, installation instructions, eventual test reports, a short description of the quality control carried out during the manufacture of the product and other documents that you want to refer to,
When the application has reached SP Sitac, a Confirmation of order is returned. After a first assessment of the application, done according to the requirements specified in the Swedish National Building regulations, has been carried out, the you receive a letter describing the adjustments of or additions to the documentation that has to be done.
If possible we will also give you a fixed price for the assessment. When we have the answers to the queries, an approval will be issued. The validity period for an an approval is normally five years.
The period of validity may be prolonged after a request from the holder. If changes are made on the product or other circumstances alter during the validity period, it is possible to have the approval revised. In most cases, a regular inspection of the production control is carried ou during the validity of the approval.
